Most players are able to pick up the rules to roulette easily, but playing online roulette simplifies the learning process. By playing online roulette you have the entire internet at your disposal, so instead of having to try and remember all of the rules while you are at the casino you can simply look them up as you go. If you’re still learning the rules here is a general outline of the rules for online roulette.

The game revolves are the roulette wheel which has the numbers 0-37 (some wheels have 38 numbers and others have two 0’s), each number is either red or black. The wheel is spun and a small ball is placed on the spinning wheel. This tosses the ball around randomly. The goal of the game is to guess where the ball will lay when the wheel has stopped spinning.

Bets are placed before the wheel stops and depending on whether or not you win your bet and what kind of bet it was you will win some odd sum of money. Some wheels have two 0’s. The 0 is the worst number for the ball to land it, a 0 means that all players lose their bets and the house rakes in the money. The 0 makes is possible for the casinos to consistently win money running roulette tables. Which means if you want to maximize your odds tables with more than one 0 are to be avoided.

There are two different kinds of bets, inside bets and outside bets. Inside bets are very specific and pay out very high, but the chances of winning are much lower. On the other hand outside bets are much safer but pay much less money.

Inside bets are usually bets that the ball will land on a specific number or a small pool of numbers. Outside bets are usually bets that the ball will end up on a much wider amount of option, like the color red or the color black for example.
