Jack Bauer, unlike a John Wayne, is both a tough individual and one who feels for the people he must hurt.

To suffer years in a prison being tortured, to have a wife killed; to have a daughter estranged; to always be fighting for the right and be considered wrong, this is the test of the mettle of the true hero.

Marie and I believe that it is actor Kiefer Sutherland's own sensitivity that allows him to portray Jack Bauer so well. Weeping in his vehicle at the end of one of the year's series was done so well, Marie and I wept along with Jack.

Many folks do not realize how difficult it is to put together an episode of 24. Often Sutherland will work for sixteen hours straight just to get five minutes of screen time acceptable to him and the directors.

There have been 17 different directors for this series, and 23 writers headed by Robert Cochran.

There will probably never be a better thriller series made.

24 totally rocks, I think i have only missed one episode since the first season. The only problem that I'm having is the plots are all too close to reality.
Thanks for your post.

Season 6 was like going to a world-renowned restaurant (obviously dressed up and having shelled out quite a few bucks), being given two bites of the steak to whet your appetite, and then having the waiter bring out MacDonald's for the rest of your meal.

The first four episodes were fantastic. After that I actually found myself forgetting a nuclear bomb had gone off on US soil and that Jack had spent the last twenty months in a Chinese prison.

I've seen the preview for season 7... bringing Tony back? Don't get me wrong, I love Tony, but I don't need 24 to ruin the memory of Tony by bringing him back just to bring him back.

We can only hope that the writers' strike gives the creators of 24 the chance to sit back and see what they've done and stop the bleeding before they kill what was one of, if not the best show on television for 5 seasons

We are up to episode 6 in the UK and im already gripped, the same goes for the latest series of Lost, im completely confused now and have no idea which way its going to go, but there are only one or two series more so will soon find out. Its nice to see that even after CTU has been disbanded Chloe and Bill are still back in the action and an even bigger surprise to see that Tony Almeida isn't dead. I wonder whether that was planned from the start or whether they just decided to re introduce a popular character.
